SFL Media is the brain child of both Malaki and Teagen Southey-Faoagali-Latu. It came out of a desire to want to learn technology in order to be better parents (before we had kids). It initially started off as a boutique social media marketing agency and was servicing clients mainly for Tiktok. Teagen's latest business venture has been added into the mix as their family needs, wants and desires have morphed. Especially now that they have kids. SFL Media will eventually be the holding company name for Village Helper and others to come.

Teagen and Malaki both had really good upbringings but wanted to change a few things in their own individual lives as adults. They both knew that this would overflow into marriage, family and kids and so they decided to really be intentional about this and create their own set of values. A part of this was to create something distinctive so it was obvious and that they could call their own. Teagen had her upbrining, Malaki had his, but both would do things slightly different as they were soon to become parents. So they decided to join both their last names when they got married. Both bringing something of their own but more importantly creating something new for their family. And so their last name Southey-Faoagali-Latu was formed, which is also the initials for the holding company SFL Media.
